Innovative Palliative Care Education’ 6th May 2015
AIIHPC held one day workshop ‘Innovative Palliative Care Education’ on the 6th May 2015, in the Clarion Hotel, Liffey Valley, Dublin. The workshop aimed to highlight good practice in the development of palliative care education using innovative methods. It also provided a forum to facilitate discussions on the benefits of utilising innovative methods.
Internationally renowned palliative care educator, Dr. José Pereira, Co-founder and Scientific Officer of Pallium Canada presented and facilitated the day with his colleague Kathryn Downer, National Director and Nathalie Gravelle-Ray, Program Manager. The afternoon sessions highlighted innovative methods of palliative care education currently in use on the island of Ireland and saw the launch of the All Island Online Learning Programmes. The All Island Online Learning Programmes were developed by five hospice education providers with funding, training and support from AIIHPC
