Palliative Hub – Children and Young People

Children and Young People logo PHThe Palliative Hub – Children and Young People has been developed by All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care (AIIHPC) with key stakeholders from the palliative care sector to act as a gateway to information about children and young people’s palliative care on the island of Ireland.

It is aimed primarily at assisting parents, guardians, carers and the wider public in understanding what children’s palliative care is and seeks to help filter the wide range of information available on the internet.

There was a recognised need from within the palliative care community, both in the Republic of Ireland and in Northern Ireland, for a dedicated children and young people’s palliative care website to provide general information about children and young people’s palliative care and to act as a central point that parents, carers and the general public can use to access specific information, such as services offered by organisations. This access is provided via links and downloadable documents.

Throughout the Palliative Hub – Children and Young People you will see a number of photos, stories and quotes. All of these are of real children and parents who are or have availed of palliative care services in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland. We would like to especially thank the families for allowing us to share their photos and experiences with the wider public.

The Palliative Hub – Children and Young People is available at: Palliative Hub – Children and Young People Leaflet
