The International Medical Spiritist Association is supporting a talk by Dr Fabio Nasri, a Consultant Geriatrician in the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is coordinating a medical group in the hospital, which is integrating spirituality more deeply into patient and staff care, in recognition of the growing evidence base that spiritual beliefs can influence health outcomes. Considering this emerging evidence, www.sma-international.org believes it is worth taking a patient’s spiritual practice into account when creating a treatment plan, as it has the potential to be beneficial for their healing process. It is envisaged that these talks will open a discussion on innovative ways of integrating medicine and spirituality when developing a care plan.
The talk will take place on Thursday, 2nd November 2023 (7pm-9pm) in the Fitzwilliam Hotel, St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2:
- 7pm Spirituality and Health – Exploration of the growing evidence base linking spirituality to better health outcomes
- 8pm The Science of Life After Death – Examination of empirical studies on personal survival after death
